so here's the deal, i am a HUGE x-men fan. i love the x-men, i have read a bunch of my dad's old comics on the x-men, i've seen the movies a billion times. when i found out that marvel/disney will be taking over the x-men cast, i was ecstatic. the fox version was amazing and always will be, however i do believe some characters were completely nerfed alongside their suits. my favorite character is wolverine, so i have no issue with the movies centering around him but i do feel other characters need limelight.
all that being said, here i will be sharing the official casting announcements and who i would cast as the characters! (with references)

CONFIRMED CASTING:
character: emma frost
actress: samara weaving
powers: telepathy and its cohorts, and diamond form/psionic shield (prevents other telepaths from entering her mind)
my thoughts: visually, she fits the part perfectly! i haven't seen anything she's been in but a lot of people are very excited about this casting so i'm excited as well.
character: rogue
actress: cailee spaeny
powers: power absorption (can kill anyone she touches), superhuman abilities, flight (stolen from captain marvel)
my thoughts: i am very excited about this casting. i think cailee is a fantastic actress and i can't wait to see her play one of my favorite characters.
character: jean grey
actress: sadie sink
powers: telepathy and its cohorts, telekinesis, empathy (feels others emotions)
my thoughts: i love sadie sink. she is a fantastic actress and im so excited she's joining the mcu. i have yet to see the new spiderman movie but i can't wait to see her on the big screen.character: beast
actor: charles melton
powers: superhuman abilities, very very smart, blue
my thoughts: i do not know charles melton, however i think he will make a great beast! please note that the picture i added of beast will most definitely not be what he looks like, however i wanted the theme to match the x-men '97 character looks so this will do.

my thoughts: i don't know tom pelphrey however i could see him playing professor x very well!
character: cyclops
actor: cooper hoffman
my thoughts: personally, its a no from me. i think cooper is a great actor however i do not think he would be a good cyclops. HOWEVER, i believe he would be great at another character i list later on.
character: mr sinister
actor: adam driver
powers: superhuman abilities, telepathy, telekinesis, shape shifting
my thoughts: adam driver can play a villain so well. i hope this is true because it would be perfect in my opinion.
MY CASTING/FAN CASTING:
character: charles xavier (professor x)
actor: bill skarsgård
powers: telepathy and its cohorts and telekinesis
my thoughts: i think bill would be fantastic as professor x, however he might be too young. we'll have to wait and see, he is also a light rumor!
character: cyclops
actor: drew starkey
powers: optic blast (pure force from a different dimension, not heat or lasers)
my thoughts: i think drew would be perfect for cyclops. hes got the look and vibes cyclops would need.
character: magneto
actor: jensen ackles
actor: ben barnes
actor: jason segel
powers: magnetokinesis (metal manipulation), telepathic resistance, astral projection, flight
my thoughts: okay so, jensen would be my pick IF they were going for any actor. however, if they were going for a jewish actor (since magneto is jewish) my next options would be either ben barnes or jason segel.
character: storm
actress: arsema thomas
powers: atmokinesis (weather and elements), flight
my thoughts: arsema was in queen charlotte: a bridgerton sequel as lady agatha danbury. lady danbury is my favorite character of bridgerton and arsema played her amazingly. she would be perfect as storm.
character: iceman
actor: cooper hoffman
powers: thermokinesis (temperature), cryokinesis (ice), hydrokinesis (water)
my thoughts: if you see my vision, cooper would be perfect as bobby. i think he would excel here more than as cyclops
character: angel
actor: joseph zada
powers: flight, superhuman abilities
my thoughts: i think joseph would be perfect as angel. hes an up and coming actor staring in the new hunger games movie, and he was amazing in the 'we were liars' show. again, he definitely won't look like the x-men '97 character design, i just added it for aesthetic purposes.
character: gambit
actor: glenn mccuen
powers: molecular acceleration (kinetic energy charged into objects/people)
my thoughts: im almost entirely certain he doesn't act anymore, but he would be great as gambit. hes the right age, has the look, and was born in louisiana! i don't believe gambit will be in the upcoming x-men movie, however i wanted to cast him anyway!
character: mystique
actress: hunter schafer
powers: metamorphosis (becoming anyone)
my thoughts: i think hunter would be perfect as mystique. she plays complicated characters so well. she also probably won't be in the 2028 movie.
character: jubilee
actress: isabella wei
powers: energy plasmoids (fireworks) and telepathy resistance
my thoughts: i've been trying to keep actors and characters ethnicities the same and i think isabella would be perfect as jubilee. both chinese, and isabella was amazing as posy in the 4th season of bridgerton. also probably won't be in the 2028 movie.
